As the Director of the Dance Centre School of Dance since October 1982, Ms. Ella has over 50 years of dance experience and has certification from the Cecchetti Council of America. In her teen years, she took classes and performed with the Permian Civic Ballet Company. She is a member of the United Dance Merchants of America (UDMA) and holds an Associate Degree from Central Texas College. She adjudicated with the National I Love Dance Pagaents for 6 years and has an open invitation to continue at any time.

While serving the Brazos Valley for the past 40 years, the studio has celebrated success thru 22 annual recital performances; dance competitions (winning trophies and ribbons); and has produced a professional dancers who have been in numerous commercials, TV shows, print jobs, industrial shows. One former dancer was one of 15 dancers chosen by Debbie Allen (choreographer in LA) to appear in dance presentations for songs of the year at the 67th annual Academy Awards in 1995. The Dance Centre & students attended regional dance workshops and competitions several times a year to stay current with technique and new dance styles.

Ms. Ella lead the American Heart Association's "Dance For Heart" for many years. She served with the Brazos Valley Symphony Society committee to promote the production of the Nutcracker Ballet 2004 & 2006 performed by Ballet Austin w/music by Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra. Auditions were held by Ballet Austin at the Dance Centre School of Dance to cast the roles of Angels and Bon Bons. Ms. Ella served as the Rehearsal Mistress for the Cast for the 8 weeks leading up to the Nutcracker performance in November.

The Dance Centre performed in 2006 at the Fall Fest, the Young Women's Conference, Christmas in the Park and at a mini-Belly Dance Recital at the Palace Theatre. They also participated in the St. Joseph's Heart Awareness Exhibit in 2007.

Currently Ms. Ella teaches the Adult Ballet classes & Reformer Pilates classes from her home and is involved with the Darlene Lewis's Line Dancers "Toe D'Line" and has recently gotten involved with choreographing Line Dance Routines which have been uploaded to the popular Copperknob website for other Line Dancers to partake in others choreography as well as some YouTube demo videos.
